Ms. Martha Augat, Innkeeper

Ms. Augat has been the Innkeeper at The Roycroft Inn since its restoration began in 1994. She was brought in to assist the Wendt Foundation in overseeing the complete restoration and re-opening. On its opening she assumed the role of Innkeeper and is responsible for the overall operation. She brought to The Roycroft Inn extensive experience. In her previous position as Vice President of the Someplace Different Hospitality Group, Inc, she was responsible for the sales and marketing of 19 wholly owned and affiliated properties in New England and Canada. Prior to that, she was the Innkeeper of the Captain Daniel Stone Inn in Brunswick, Maine.

In addition to her position as Innkeeper, Ms. Augat is on the Board of Directors of the Roycroft Campus Corporation and is very involved in the planning of the overall restoration of the Roycroft campus.

Mr. Daniel Garvey, Food and Beverage Manager

With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Mr. Daniel Garvey oversees all aspects of the daily management of the restaurant and general operations of The Inn. He is past President of the New York State Restaurant Association-WNY Chapter and was the Founding Director of "Local Restaurant Week"- very successful promotion to encourage diners to patronize locally owned restaurants. He also is an Adjunct Professor for the Hospitality Department of a local college.


Chef Andrew Nuernberger, Executive Chef

Chef Andrew Nuernberger is an East Aurora native who has been fortunate to be able to learn and perfect his craft close to home. Knowing at a young age that he belonged in the kitchen, Chef Andrew followed his dream from the W.D. Ormsby Culinary Program to the Erie Community College Culinary Arts Division. He began his career at The Roycroft Inn in 1997 and gained recognition for his skill becoming the Executive Chef in 2003. Inspired by the Inn’s history of artistry and creation, Chef Andrew brings to his craft a contemporary approach to the bountiful regional and seasonal ingredients that are available throughout the year.  He believes that dining is a total experience from the ambience of the restaurant, service provided and food that is served. 

Mr. David Majka, Sales and Special Events Manager

Working at The Roycroft Inn since it re-opened in 1995, David Majka has over 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry. From family celebrations to corporate retreats, he works to ensure guests of The Inn have a memorable event. He has a passion for food and wine, and a commitment to personal customized service. David has guided many brides and grooms in planning beautiful, one of a kind wedding receptions. With a great attention to detail, an extensive knowledge of food and wine, and a commitment to personal service, David is the perfect person to work with on your special event. In addition to event planning, David oversees the Summer Wine Night events at The Inn and plays an important role in selecting new wines for our 100+ bottle wine list.
